1. Who we are

EXAU Olive Oil ("EXAU," "we," "us") is a premium olive oil brand based in Austin, Texas, operated by Olive Oil Distributors LLC, 2028 E. Ben White Blvd #240-2528, Austin, TX 78741, USA. Our olive oil is produced in Calabria, Italy. This policy covers exauoliveoil.com, our emails and newsletters, and orders you place with us. Questions: hello@exauoliveoil.com.

We do not sell your personal information.

2. What we collect

  • Information you give us: such as your name, contact details, billing and shipping addresses, order and membership details, gift messages, reviews, and messages you send us. If you sign up for texts, we also keep your mobile number and a record of your consent.
  • Payment details: EXAU never sees, stores or has access to your card details. You enter them directly with our payment processors (such as Shopify Payments, Shop Pay, Apple Pay and PayPal).
  • Information collected automatically: such as your IP address, approximate location, device and browser type, and how you use our site and emails, including through session recording tools.
  • Information from partners: such as order and delivery updates and referral information.

3. How we use it

  • To process, ship and support your orders and memberships, and to send related emails.
  • To send newsletters, offers and, if you've opted in, text messages. You can unsubscribe, or reply STOP to texts, at any time.
  • To advertise, measure and improve our site, products and marketing, and to protect against fraud and abuse.
  • To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run our business, such as e-commerce and payment processors, fulfillment and shipping partners, email and messaging providers, analytics and advertising partners, customer review and rewards providers, security and fraud-prevention providers, and cloud hosting providers. They may use it only to provide their services to us. We may add or change providers over time.

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect our rights or others' safety, or as part of a sale or merger of our business. If you buy from us on another platform, such as Amazon, that platform's privacy policy applies to that purchase.

5. Cookies and tracking

We and our partners use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to run our site, understand how it's used, and show you our ads on other sites. To manage cookies, use the cookie consent banner on our site or your browser settings. To opt out of personalized ads, use the ad settings of each platform or visit optout.aboutads.info. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal where the law requires it and do not respond to "Do Not Track" signals.

We keep personal information for as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law.

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no system is completely secure. If a breach affects your data, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Your rights

To access, correct or delete your personal information, or to opt out of targeted advertising, email hello@exauoliveoil.com with the subject "Privacy request." We will verify your request and respond within the time required by law. You may appeal our decision by replying to it, and you may use an authorized agent. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing.

10. Where we are

We are based in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States. If you're outside the US, you agree to that transfer by using our site.

11. Children

Our site is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe we have, email us and we'll delete it.

12. Emails and text messages

Every marketing email includes our postal address and an unsubscribe link. If you opt in to texts, we may send recurring automated marketing messages. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency varies, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help. We never share your mobile number or text consent with third parties for their marketing.
